Who is eligible for Complete Penn State degree completion/resource navigation support?
To be eligible for support through Complete Penn State, a student must be:
- currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at Penn State
- one or two semesters away from completing a first associate’s or bachelor’s degree (30 or fewer credits remaining)
- in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
- experiencing a hardship that is complicating degree completion
Who runs the Complete Penn State program?
The Student Success Center within Undergraduate Education oversees Complete Penn State, however we work with our vast University-wide support network to help students connect with key experts and resources that will help them to overcome their challenges and complete their degree. We help students devise action plans and make the most of the resources available to them.
Does Complete Penn State degree completion support take the place of connecting with academic advisors and program departments?
No, complete Penn State can help continuing and returning students to connect with department contact and advisors and help provide an action plan for moving forward while using key University resources.
I was informed that I'm not eligible for the Complete Penn State "Open Doors" completion scholarship. Do I still qualify for additional degree completion/resource navigation support?
Yes, if you are approaching completion and experiencing hardship/barriers to finishing on time, we are happy to meet with you and help you navigate your situation and connect with resources that may help you to complete your degree.
