School Supplies for Student Success is the Center’s newest initiative, offering free school supplies to undergraduate students at Penn State. The school supply room will be open to all Penn State undergraduate students starting mid-fall semester 2024, with a grand opening planned for January 2025. Be sure to join the SSC listserv to stay up-to-date!
In addition to a main school supply room in the Penn State Chaiken Center for Student Success (325 Boucke) at University Park, the initiative will be connected to several smaller locations within Penn State’s colleges and campuses. By providing access to free supplies, students will experience a reduced financial burden, improved academic preparedness, and enhanced overall well-being.
What to Expect
Students will be able to visit every two weeks and take up to five items per visit. When entering the school supply room, students will be asked to swipe their student ID to check-in and to complete a brief check-out form on the way out (accessible via QR code).
Ways to Support
As we work to stock our shelves for the current school year, your support is invaluable. To donate, please visit our Amazon Wishlist or drop off gently used items to the Penn State Chaiken Center for Student Success during business hours. We are seeking essential school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, highlighters, planners, dry-erase boards, and more.
